Where 2 Party

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Where 2 Party collects, why we collect it, how we look after it, and the rights you have under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who we are

Where 2 Party is a house music gig guide and community ticket-resale marketplace, operated by Ferrisondeck Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). Ferrisondeck Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

You can reach us about anything in this policy, including data deletion requests, by email at info@ferrisondeck.co.uk or through our Contact us form.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, and your name if you provide it. Your password is handled by our authentication provider and is never visible to us.
  • Content you post. Events you submit (title, promoter, lineup, venue, city, date, times, description, flyer image link, ticket link, price, subgenre), mixes you share (title, DJ, mix link, artwork, description, subgenre) and ticket-resale listings (event title and date, venue, city, price, quantity, seller name, contact details and notes).
  • Your favourites. Which events and mixes you have saved, so we can show them back to you.
  • Technical and usage information. Basic device and browser information, pages viewed and general interaction data collected by Base44, the platform that hosts and runs the site, and by our analytics, used to keep the service working and secure.

Please be aware that events, mixes and ticket-resale listings are public. Anything you publish in a listing — including a contact email or phone number — can be seen by anyone who visits the site. Only share what you are comfortable making public.

3. How we use your information and our lawful bases

  • To provide the service — creating and securing your account, publishing your posts, showing your favourites and running the site. Lawful basis: performance of a contract with you.
  • To keep the site safe and moderated — reviewing and removing content that breaks our Terms of Use, and preventing abuse, spam and fraud. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in running a safe community, and our legal obligations.
  • To send email alerts about new public posts and service messages. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests, and consent where consent is required.
  • To understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in improving the service.
  • To process payments for optional featured placements. Lawful basis: performance of a contract with you. Card details are handled by our payment provider and are never stored by us.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Email alerts and notifications

If you sign in and post an event, mix or listing, the site operator receives an email alert so new content can be reviewed. You may also receive occasional service emails about your account.

You can stop non-essential emails at any time by replying to any message and asking us to stop, or by using our Contact us form. Emails that are necessary to keep your account secure (such as login verification and password resets) cannot be switched off while your account is open.

5. Cookies, local storage and analytics

We use a small amount of browser storage that is essential to the service — for example to keep you signed in and to remember your session. Without these, the site cannot work, so they are not optional.

We also use privacy-respecting analytics provided through Base44, the platform that hosts the site, to count visits and understand which pages are useful. Where analytics requires consent, we rely on your consent and you can withdraw it at any time using our Contact us form.

You can clear cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings; doing so will sign you out.

6. YouTube, SoundCloud and Mixcloud embeds

Mixes and events may include embedded players from YouTube (Google), SoundCloud and Mixcloud. These embeds are only loaded when you choose to play them.

When an embed loads or plays, YouTube, SoundCloud or Mixcloud may set their own cookies and collect information about your visit under their own privacy policies. We do not control that processing. If you would prefer to avoid it, don't play the embedded player — you can follow the "open original" link instead, or review Google's, SoundCloud's and Mixcloud's privacy policies before interacting with their players.

7. Who we share information with

  • Base44, the platform that hosts, stores and runs the site and handles sign-in, which processes data on our behalf under contract.
  • Our payment provider, where you choose to buy an optional featured placement.
  • Email delivery providers, to send account and alert emails.
  • Analytics providers, in aggregate and privacy-respecting form.
  • Law enforcement or regulators, where we are legally required to do so, or where it is necessary to protect people's rights and safety.

We never sell your personal information.

8. International transfers

Some of our providers are based outside the UK. Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or standard contractual clauses, so your information keeps a comparable level of protection.

9. How long we keep your information

We keep your account information and posted content for as long as your account is open, or until you delete it. When you delete your content or your account, it is removed from the live site and from our active systems, and residual copies are cleared from backups within a reasonable period.

We may keep limited records for longer where we need them to resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

10. How we keep your information secure

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections, hashed credentials, access controls and row-level restrictions so that users can only change their own content. No online service can be completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password and never share your login details.

11. Your rights under the UK GDPR

You have the right to:

  • be informed about how we use your information;
  • access a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to erase your information (the right to be forgotten);
  • ask us to restrict or object to certain processing;
  • receive your information in a portable format;
  • withdraw any consent you have given, at any time; and
  • complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, use our Contact us form. We will respond within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that we don't hand your data to someone else.

12. Deleting your account and requesting data deletion

If you are signed in, you can delete your account yourself, straight away, from the Delete my account page in your account settings. Deleting your account removes your login record and everything you have posted or saved on Where 2 Party — your events, mixes, ticket-resale listings, favourites, and any claim or proposed-change records in your name. You are signed out immediately and you will not be able to sign back in with that account. It cannot be undone.

If you cannot sign in — for example because you no longer have access to the email address on your account — email us at info@ferrisondeck.co.uk or use our Contact us form and choose "Data or privacy request", using the email address linked to your account. We will confirm once your data has been erased.

13. Children

Where 2 Party is not intended for children. You must be old enough to enter into a contract in your country to create an account, and in the UK you must be at least 13. If we learn that a child has created an account, we will remove it.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.

15. Contact and complaints

For any privacy question or request, email us at info@ferrisondeck.co.uk or use our Contact us form. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

This policy explains our practices in plain language. It is not a certification, approval or accreditation by any regulator or third party.
